We focus on explaining in great depth and detail, ensuring our team can digest and apply the movements in an environment that is safe, and ego free.
Our team focuses on keeping arrogance out of the equation, while still becoming confident individuals, and training hard with like minded people who will help you succeed, and reach your goals.
Our kids classes focus on technique and discipline to help them develop confidence, self defense skills, and teamwork. In reward to their hard work in training, they attain a good amount of fun activities throughout the month.
From our Cubbies class (ages 3-5) to our Kids classes (ages 6-14), they compete in tournaments all throughout the U.S. in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, and MMA.
Our team is very aware of the differences in learning methods for the students, and applies that to the appropriate age groups. We have something for everyone, reach out and see what we can do for you!
Wrestling and submission grappling

Blending Wrestling and Submission Grappling, we strive to consistently innovate the sport, showing the effectiveness of our style throughout competitions across the states. Our Jiu Jitsu class is NoGi and is a practical approach to Mixed Martial Arts and self defense.
Head coach, Richie Meister, is passionate on getting his students to an advanced level of not only Jiu Jitsu, but having a high fight IQ. Richie goes over specific details on how to keep control of an opponent, how to advance positions while maintaining that same control, and how to expose arms and legs for multiple attacks, how to properly strangle your opponent in a variety of different techniques and chokes, and learning to finish in each position for self defense, the sport of Jiu Jitsu, and MMA.
What is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu?
(BJJ) has gained a lot of attention in recent years, and this is because of the dominant force that it brings. BJJ stands apart from other martial arts due to its focus on grappling and the importance of not only controlling an opponent, but finishing the fight, and dictating where the fight goes.
Whether you’re interested in self defense, training for sport, finding a fun and useful hobby, or a great way to get involved in your community with like minded people; our BJJ program is known to improve fitness levels, prepare its practitioners for situations requiring self-defense, and relieve stress.
The art of eight limbs
Muay Thai Kickboxing is our premiere striking class. Muay Thai is in a class of its own when it comes to the stand up portion of combat. Unlike many other forms of martial arts, we are not limited to a couple weapons.
In this class, we teach our members how to use all limbs as weapons, and to fight at all ranges using kicks and punches, as well as knees and elbows. We focus on self defense, as well as for sport.
Our students are instructed how to properly set up attacks as well as defend them. Majority of our focus will be a combination of western boxing, as well as a more Dutch style approach to Muay Thai teaching the fundamentals of striking for beginners, as well as the intricate footwork and angles for the more advanced.
Whether you are just starting out, or maybe you’re an amateur or professional boxer, or maybe a black belt in a traditional martial art such as Karate or Taekwondo; there is so much you can learn in this class and so much room for improvement if you want to step up your striking to a whole new level.
These classes are a fun way to challenge the body with a variety of strength exercises, as well as cardio exercises. The coaches are here to push you to obtain strength and endurance, along with proper methods of lifting. These classes accommodate all ages, genders, and levels of physical ability.
This class, is a mixture of both Muay Thai Kickboxing, and Strength and Conditioning. Courtny Meister, pushes the ladies to step out of their comfort zone, learning proper techniques of Muay Thai Kickboxing, along with a variety of strength and cardio exercises.
A good push for all the women in Tehachapi to get some time away from the craziness and stresses that life brings, getting a good workout, enjoying time with like minded women, learn useful tools, and becoming a better version of themselves.
Advanced Lion Heart MMA competition team
This is an invite only class with our members who have experience in both our Muay Thai Kickboxing, and Jiu Jitsu classes.
This class we go over advanced techniques and get our athletes ready for competition.
3-5 year olds training in Boxing, Kickboxing, Wrestling and Jiu Jitsu
This class is a very fun and exciting class for the young ones. We focus on teaching good useful techniques to the Cubbies and have them test it almost daily without the head trauma. They will get a lot of pad work in, bag work, takedown drilling, grappling scenarios and defense, as well as live rolling rounds with one another. This class usually has a waitlist, so be sure to jump in the moment you’re called up as the opportunity may pass. We have a 9am class and a 4pm class and both classes are taught by professionals who know how to push the Cubbies without being overbearing.
This class is the future and surprisingly competitive. We have multiple world champions in this class that would shock anyone stepping into our facility.
Our team focuses on improving the skills to better our youth, growing confidence levels in each individual, as well as teach them to see their potential while having fun and being a kid.
