“I’m an MMA fighter who started out training boxing and Muay Thai. In 2009, I started to do wrestling and Jiu Jitsu.
I absolutely fell in love with it all. In the beginning of 2012 I was given a flyer at work to try out for a sponsorship at Big John McCarthys Ultimate Training Academy in Santa Clarita, California. I ended up being one of three fighters chosen for the sponsorship and have been with my coaches ever since. My head Jiu Jitsu, wrestling, and MMA coach is Brian Peterson and my striking coach is Pete Sugarfoot Cunningham and I still train with my team in Santa Clarita to this day. Not because of loyalty, but because training with Brian and my team has been what has progressed me faster than anywhere else I have ever trained.
In 2015 I trained and was planning on living in Thailand and fight under Tiger Muay Thai among many current UFC champions… unfortunately after a few months, I became very sick with Dengue fever and had to return home. This turned out being one of the best things for me as I was able to come back win an MMA title and still focus on my goals in the sport while saving up to open up my own facility one day. That day came sooner than expected when I opened up Lion Heart MMA in Tehachapi, California knowing that this town needed something for the youth. I also wanted to share my knowledge to the men and women of my small town and make Tehachapi a place where people go for their training.
We have that already today.
There is still a lot of dreams to make,
